i3†

• とは、タイル型 Window Manager
• i3 Window Manager 自体はマウス操作で何か出来るわけではないので、それなりに操作するためには、予めキーバインドを把握しておく必要がある。

設定†

${HOME}/.i3/config

設定項目†

• $mod
  • $mod キーを設定する
  • $mod + <Key> の組み合わせでコマンドを実行する
    • デフォルトでは $mod + return で仮想端末ウインドウを起動する
• キーバインドは次のようになっている（仮想端末を起動する例）

  # start a terminal
  bindsym $mod+Return exec i3-sensible-terminal

操作†

• 基本的に、${HOME}/.i3/config を見ればだいたいのことは分かるようになっているようだ。
• 仮想端末の起動

  # start a terminal
  bindsym $mod+Return exec i3-sensible-terminal

• workspace の移動

  # switch to workspace
  bindsym $mod+<num> workspace <num>

  • Debian 8 の i3 のデフォルトでは、 num は 1-10

• 終了：$mod + Shift + e

  # exit i3 (logs you out of your X session)
  bindsym $mod+Shift+e exec "i3-nagbar -t warning -m 'You pressed the exit shortcut. Do you really want to exit i3? This will end your X session.' -b 'Yes, exit i3' 'i3-msg exit'"
